To wrap up Students Inside Albany, we challenged students to demonstrate their newfound knowledge of state government. In addition, we provided them with the opportunity to pre-register to vote, ensuring they are prepared to actively participate in future elections. This initiative is part of our commitment to fostering informed and engaged citizens who will shape the future of our democracy. Students Inside Albany Day 2! Students had an eventful second day as they participated in political activism presentations that provided them insight on how to effectively push back for change. Students had the opportunity to shadow their NYS Senator and learn their roles and responsibilities. Representatives were so impressed with the students that some were offered internships on the spot. To wrap up the day, students heard from both local and state representatives on running for office. Eager to learn, the students have asked so many insightful questions being sure to make lasting impressions with everyone they interacted with. At the end of the night, we celebrated one student's birthday and enjoyed a few rounds of pizza and bowling! (fb)
