GEORGE4 FOUNDATION As a family the Steinbrenners understand the importance of giving back to their community and lending support to individuals and organizations working to make the world a better place. From an early age siblings George and Julia understood philanthropy to be less about the praise and more about the purpose as their Grandfather George Steinbrenner often said if you do something good for someone and more than two people saw it you did it for the wrong reason. A focus on the future Working with children and individuals with special needs has always been a primary focus for Julia and George. As teenagers both volunteered extensively in support children and community through organizations such as Boys and Girls Club and GiGis Playhouse.
