The mission of the Friends of the Lakewood Ranch Library is to support the library and sustain its work for the continued enrichment of the people of Manatee County. This is accomplished by educating the community, advocating to support the efforts of the Manatee County Public Library, and providing funding for the library through public and private sources.

An allvolunteer nonprofit organization the Friends are committed to champion and sustain the Lakewood Ranch Library with funds that will provide lifelong learning and enrichment opportunities for everyone. Want to donate books to the Friends Book Nook. The Friends currently accept gently used hardcover adult and YA fiction books published within the past five years as well as childrens books and puzzles.
