Our work serves the most vulnerable in the Kansas City while reducing unnecessary waste of nutritious foods discarded into landfills Kanbe's Markets is on a mission to build a more inclusive food system by transforming food loss into food access. By focusing on fruit and vegetable distribution, we route fresh food to over 75 locations in low-income low-access areas, support small businesses, and uplift communities, one neighborhood at a time. We also enrich the region food pantry system by providing more than a million pounds of rescued fresh fruits and vegetables to our hunger relief partners, for free, annually.

We are so grateful to everyone who joined us for our first KCK Ugly Dinner at @jarochokc and to @chefcarlosfalcon who took our Kanbe’s produce to the next level. These dinners are always such a meaningful celebration of community and creativity, and this night was no different. As Kanbe’s Markets expands our fresh food access partnerships into Wyandotte County this year, we were energized by the enthusiasm and support of our growth.
