400 scenic miles of volunteer constructed footpath from St. Louis to Arkansas. The Ozark Trail Association's mission is to develop, maintain, preserve, promote, and protect the rugged, natural beauty of the Ozark Trail. We work with several public agencies and private foundations including the Mark Twain National Forest, Missouri Department of Conservation, Missouri Division of State Parks and the National Park Service, to develop new recreational trail segments for the Ozark Trail and connecting trails. We maintain existing trails with dedicated volunteers in cooperation with the above mentioned agencies. We promote the use of the trail through events and our website.
