Blacktail Mountain Quick Response Unit serves snow sports enthusiasts at a small ski area 30 minutes to 1.5 hours away from the nearest medical support. Our medics are all EMT's or paramedics who are proficient at packaging and caring for patients in adverse and variable conditions. There are many challenges to running this small unit. All care is provided at no cost to our patients. Training, supplies and medical equipment appropriate for this location can cause financial strain. We are a non-profit 501-C3 organization that raises operational funds to support this unit.
