From separation to reunification: promoting new angles of research from innovative lenses and focal points on “Africans in America” and African Americans The More Than a Fraction Foundation (MTAFF) is a 501(c)(3) that is dedicated to enriching the history and cultures of Africans in America, African Americans and Indigenous Peoples from the 18th and 19th centuries, focusing on the Appalachian region. Under the mantle, "From Separation to Reunification", the mission of More Than a Fraction (MTAFF) is to expand research and education on the history, life, culture, and experiences of Africans in America and African-Americans in the 18th and 19th century (before the Civil War and a decade after). More Than A Fraction seeks to expand research, education, and programs by approaching the subject from an "Africans in America" and African American centric view. By using this centric view we promote new angles of research from innovative lenses and focal points.
