Blue Water Scholarship Fund aims to introduce the next generation to the Maritime Industry and its many opportunities through merit and needs based scholarships to one of the state Maritime Academies. THE BLUE WATER SCHOLARSHIP FUND AIMS TO INTRODUCE THE NEXT GENERATION TO THE MARITIME INDUSTRY AND ITS MANY OPPORTUNITIES. THE BLUE WATER SCHOLARSHIP FUND INTENDS TO AWARD A NUMBER OF SCHOLARSHIPS ANNUALLY BETWEEN $250 AND $15,000 EACH BASED ON THE MERIT OF THE APPLICANTS RECEIVED AND THE FINANCIAL POSITION OF THE SCHOLARSHIP FUND DURING THE YEAR. THE MAXIMUM SCHOLARSHIP AMOUNT MAY BE EXCEEDED AT THE DISCRETION OF THE DIRECTORS DEPENDING ON THE INDIVIDUAL NEEDS AND CIRCUMSTANCES OF THE STUDENT.

The Blue Water Scholarship Fund Our Mission The Blue Water Scholarship Fund provides assistance to students with financial need at the five state maritime academies license programs to allow them to complete their schooling and ensure a brighter future for the student their families and generations thereafter. Blue Water Scholarship Fund was founded in 2017 by longtime friends and colleagues Jaime Cleveland John Curtin and Jim Hoy. All of our founders came from blue collar families thus the blue in our name and found success beyond their wildest expectations in the maritime industry. Blue Water was borne out of their desire to help others have the same opportunities they were fortunate enough to have.
