๐ Today, we're celebrating one of the incredible people behind our research: Weihua Cheng, BS, a devoted Research Scientist who has been part of Hough Ear Institute for an amazing 17 years. Weihua joined us in 2008, bringing with her deep expertise in histology, immunohistochemistry, small animal surgery, and more. Over the years, she has been a key contributor in studying hearing loss and brain injury โ especially in understanding the effects of noise and blast exposure.

Today, we pause to honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice secured our freedoms, and we remember them with deep gratitude. On this Memorial Day, we also acknowledge the many veterans who return home carrying invisible wounds โ including hearing loss and tinnitus, which are among the most common service-connected disabilities.
