Metropolitan Winds hosts approximately 6 to 7 concerts annually at various venues, including Little Elm High School, Christ United Methodist Church in Plano, and occasionally Moody Performance Hall in downtown Dallas. Membership and Auditions

Membership in Metropolitan Winds is open to musicians who demonstrate a strong commitment to musical excellence. Prospective members undergo a two-step audition process:

1. Initial Participation: Potential members are invited to attend two rehearsals to assess their compatibility with the ensemble.
2. Formal Audition: Following the rehearsals, they audition with the section leader and music director, performing two prepared excerpts that demonstrate musical sensitivity, technical ability, and overall musicianship.

Financial Structure
