Dear ColleaguesI am pleased to report that the Northeast Conference of Music Theorists had a successful meeting at BostonUniversity on April 1920 2024. We had an engaging two days of presentations discussions and collaboration andI want to extend my sincere gratitude to Jason Yust David Kopp and Deborah Burton for their exceptional workon local arrangements. This years keynote event was a particular highlight featuring a trio of talks from RichardBeaudoin Emily Dolan and Nicole CosmeClifford all on different ways to incorporate of timbre raw sound andinstrumentation into music analysis.
