FAMILY PROMISE OF LOWER BUCKS

The mission of Family Promise of Lower Bucks (Bucks County, PA, USA) is to mobilize collaboration within the local community in addressing the needs of homeless families with children, by providing shelter, meals and comprehensive services while helping them to lasting self-sufficiency. It is to help homeless families with children in our community regain their housing, their independence and their dignity. Each year more than 800 Bucks County students and their families experience the trauma of homelessness. These children must confront obstacles that their peers do not, at risk of falling behind in school, at risk of not receiving appropriate healthcare, subjected to the emotional impact of living with uncertainty each and every day. The numbers speak to the need or additional resources, as demand continues to grow and families often wind up on a waiting list to receive the help they need. FPLB offers support by providing meals, a place to stay and comprehensive services, all free of charge, to families at this critical time in their lives.
