Spring is in the air, and Austin is in full bloom! This is arguably the most beautiful time of year to spend outdoors, and today we’re heading outside with our next People of the Parks: The Reed Family. Say hi to the Reed family (Charla, Richard, Myles and Margaux)👋 They love Balcones District Park, and have been enjoying all it has to offer since their oldest child, Myles, was just a toddler. For them, our parks offer a place to unwind and enjoy the great outdoors together. Visit our blog (https://bit.ly/43pyt0u) to learn about how they utilize parks to unplug and reconnect as a family. At APF, we believe that we are all People of the Parks. No matter how you use them, these outdoor spaces belong to you, and we need your help to ensure that all Austinites have a safe, clean, accessible park to call their own. YOU have the power to transform Austin’s parks. Will you make a meaningful gift to improve our parks, trails and green spaces? Make your gift today: https://bit.ly/3GwpFOB (fb)

Join us at Bartholomew District Park TOMORROW at 10 a.m. for Art in the Park! This week we'll be making animal friend paper bag puppets with our friends from Painting Pandas! Participants will explore the concept of friendship by selecting an animal they would like to be friends with and transforming a paper bag into a puppet with personality and character. This project combines artistic skills with social-emotional learning as children consider what qualities make a good friend. Learn more: https://bit.ly/3GYXTLf (fb)
