La Leche League of Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana - Home Welcome to La Leche League of Alabama Louisiana Mississippi and Arkansas ALMA La Leche League is an international nonprofit nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing education information support and encouragement to women who want to breastfeed. Allbreastfeeding mothers and pregnant women interested in breastfeeding are welcome to come to our meetings or call our Leaders for breastfeeding help. We also provide health care professionals withcontinuing education opportunities and access to the latest research on lactation management. The mission of La Leche League is to help mothers worldwide to breastfeed through mothertomother support encouragement information and education and to promote a better understanding ofbreastfeeding as an important element in the healthy development of the baby and mother.
