Innovation For Equity (IFE) is a powerful network founded in 2018 by a cross-disciplinary group of volunteer Black leaders from across the education ecosystem — including superintendents, higher education presidents, ed tech entrepreneurs, researchers, investors, policymakers, and nonprofit leaders — who sought to blend the moral vision of a civil rights organization with the innovation and urgency of Silicon Valley. The organization’s mission is to improve life outcomes for students needing the most support, focusing on Black learners from cradle to career. IFE’s approach is rooted in two main areas: scaling innovation and supporting transformational leaders.
