Veterans Village & K-9 Companion Centers
VVK-9 is the first rescued animal-service dog training program for servicemen and servicewomen that utilize these wounded warriors to train the service animals for other disabled service people. The program's mission is to maximize the public donation received by coupling the benefits of animal assisted therapy at a life skills sober center with an on the job training program, which will produce service animals for other veterans with disabilities. VVK-9 is committed to providing residential housing, housing counseling, and expanded services to homeless veterans, veteran’s families and veteran’s friends, and others with disabilities. VVK-9 offers them clean, safe & sober housing as well as providing training in three separate marketable skills. Veterans will learn among other marketable skills, dog training, dog walking, grooming, kennel assistant and pet store employee duties.
