We Engage originated from the experiences of clinic escorts at the Jackson Women's Health Organization (JWHO), also known as "The Pink House," in Jackson, Mississippi. JWHO was a pivotal abortion clinic in Mississippi and a central figure in the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization case, which led to the national reversal of Roe v. Wade protections in 2022.
