Chicago Baseball and Educational Academy Chicago Baseball and Educational Academy Empowering Chicago Youth to Dream Big The opportunity to connect Curtis Grandersons love of baseball back to his hometown of Chicago arrived when the University of Illinois Chicago alum made a 5 million donation to help build a stateoftheart indoor training facility and baseball stadium. The partnership provided a platform and place for his dream of connecting with communitybased sports programs to enhance and enrich the lives of Chicago youthand its where the Chicago Baseball and Educational Academy or CBEA was born. Over the last 10 years CBEA has worked with more than 60 Chicago community youth baseball organizations allowing thousands of Chicago kids to play learn and grow at our facilities on the campus of the University of Illinois at Chicago. ProgramS CBEA works in Chicago to strengthen local community youth baseball softball programs.
