Dignity First is a Bangor, ME 501c3 creating supported permanent housing for Unhoused Neighbors Dignity First is a nonprofit in Bangor, ME creating a village of permanent supportive housing for people who are unhoused and intentional neighbors. As replicators the Community First! Village model initiated in Austin, TX by Mobile Loaves & Fishes, we believe in the power of community to house, heal, and thrive. Our project, Homeful Village, will create four neighborhoods of twenty tiny homes where formerly chronically unhoused live alongside intentional neighbors, people who come from a resource-full background who commit to being a relational anchor in the village. Integrated supportive services provided by community partners and opportunities for dignified income ground healing, recovery, and growth within the village for all neighbors.
