🔔 City of Ridgeland Residents YOUR help is needed (or if you know someone who lives in the city and can VOTE this Tuesday! As some of you may know, the City of Ridgeland has a referendum coming up Tuesday June 3rd to vote on the expansion of Freedom Ridge Park. A temporary hospitality sales tax increase of 1% at restaurants and 2% at Hotels would fund: -Full-size artificial turf soccer fields (for ages six through adult) -Pickleball courts -Regulation baseball/softball fields (accommodating up to 100 teams per weekend) -New batting cages with artificial turf -Officials' Headquarters & Meeting Space -Festival and special events area -Multi-use trails connecting to Ridgeland’s trail system Once funding is complete, the tax would cease. This would be a huge improvement in field availability for Rush, enhanced recreational facilities, and will position Ridgeland as a leading tournament and event destination, sending visiting money to our area.
