Eleven-year-old Aubri’Onna from Church Point, Louisiana, is a shining example of courage. Diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy, Scoliosis, and developmental delays, she recently traveled to New Orleans for a complex spinal fusion surgery and Halo-gravity traction procedure—both vital steps toward improving her quality of life. The road to recovery took an unexpected turn when kidney complications led to emergency dialysis. Yet, through it all, Aubri’Onna never stopped fighting. Aubri’Onna comes from a close-knit family of five. Whether it's going to the park, swimming, or simply playing together, they cherish every moment. Her three siblings are her biggest cheerleaders, and her mom, Calvinyonte, stayed by her side throughout the entire hospital stay. For 40 nights, the Ronald McDonald House was their home-away-from-home. Calvinyonte shared, "It feels like I'm at a long doctor's appointment, but it still feels like home, and I am able to help my child at the hospital." Thanks to generous donors and supporters, Aubri’Onna’s family never had to worry about where they would sleep or how they would stay close during her treatment. Today, we’re thrilled to share that Aubri’Onna has been discharged from the hospital. She’s heading home with her family, stronger than ever! Because of your support, families like hers never have to face the unimaginable alone. https://rmhcsla.org/ways-to-give/ @followers (fb)
