The Convocation of the College of Fellows was a success! It took place at the beginning of this month and we were graced with the presence and induction of Dr. Jennifer Frey! She hails from the University of Tulsa where she is Dean of the Honors College. The fellows discussed Christopher Dawson’s book “The Crisis of Western Education” which both details the crisis and touches upon a potential solution. In addition to hearing the reflections on the text from the fellows, a DSPT student panel was commissioned to present on the text as well. After each student presentation, a Q&A was held in order to hear more from the students and fellows. After the induction of Professor Frey, she lectured on the crisis of Western education and chaired a quodlibetal session. We are blessed to have friendship with the College of Fellows and it is always a pleasure to be amongst them on campus. (fb)
