RiverStone Health in conjunction with the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services announced that two confirmed cases of measles have been reported in Yellowstone County residents. An unvaccinated adult and an unvaccinated child became ill while traveling outside of the country. The individuals had fully recovered and were no longer contagious by the time they returned to Yellowstone County. As a result, there is no risk of measles spreading in the local community from these cases. The best protection against the disease is the Measles-Mumps-Rubella (MMR) vaccine.
