Welcome Hatch Mill The Hatch Mill is one of a few remaining examples of an intact waterpowered industrial property in Massachusetts It is on the National Register of Historic Places as part of the Hatch Homestead and Mill Historic District which includes the famed Red House. In 2004 it was on the verge of collapse when it was saved by a dedicated group of Marshfield residents. Please see our updated 2023 History and Preservation pages. Our mission is to open the mill as a museum featuring the working waterpowered sawmill box mill and other mechanical infrastructure The mill welcomes visitors on prescheduled tours and during open houses.
