Wayfinder Family Services is the place to turn for people facing the greatest challenges. Wayfinder’s mission is to ensure that children, youth and adults facing challenges always have a place to turn. Founded in 1953 as the Foundation for the Junior Blind, Wayfinder offers individualized services in child welfare, mental health, visual impairment and multiple disabilities. Renamed in 2018, Wayfinder Family Services is one of California’s largest statewide foster care and adoption agencies, and we provide services to more children who are blind than any other nonprofit in the state. Our evidence-based programs support predominately low-income children, youth and families of color. We reach nearly 22,800 people annually.
