Together Invested

Together Invested is a U.S. non-profit organization focused on financial wellness, particularly for women. Established in 2021, it began as an initiative to provide financial education for women experiencing divorce. The organization aims to empower individuals by enhancing their financial knowledge and confidence.

Founders and Leadership

Together Invested was co-founded by a team of professionals, including Sheila Menair, a financial advisor with over 20 years of experience, and Allison Bishop, a certified public accountant and financial coach. The founding team includes eight other professionals from law, finance, and family matters.

Mission and Activities

The nonprofit's mission is to alleviate financial stress by offering educational workshops and events. Key programs include the "Waking up to Wealth" workshop and "GatHERings," which provide a supportive environment for women to engage in judgment-free conversations about money. These events are designed to help participants overcome emotional barriers to managing finances and build financial literacy.

Expansion and Services

Initially focused on divorce-related financial education, Together Invested has expanded its services to provide broader financial wellness support. Workshops are held in various venues, including during the COVID-19 pandemic, when they were conducted via Zoom to increase accessibility.

Goals

One of the organization's future goals is to establish a women's financial wellness center in the Midcoast region, serving as a central location for its events and workshops.
