Investing in South LA today for a brighter future For more than 10 years SCOPE has worked with community based organizations labor unions and environmental groups to ensure that lowincome communities of color are at the forefront of the green jobs sector. Mission Strategic Concepts in Organizing and Policy Education SCOPE builds grassroots power to create social and economic justice for lowincome female immigrant black and brown communities in Los Angeles. History By building power and strengthening the presence of working people in the political process SCOPE has energized activists city officials neighbors and students to be proactive not reactive and forward thinking with one eye always focused on the causes of unemployment and poverty so that we can move toward equality integrity and a quality of life in South LA its residents deserve.
