TO LESSEN THE BURDENS OF GOVERNMENT BY ASSISTING THE U.S. GOVERNMENT IN FULFILLING ITS GOALS OF PROMPT AND VIGOROUS IMPLEMENTATION OF DEFENSE CONVERSION, REINVESTMENT AND TRANSITION ASSISTANCE AS CONTEMPLATED IN THE DEFENSE CONVERSION, REINVESTMENT AND TRANSITION ASSISTANCE ACT OF 1992.
