TheFund’s purpose is to motivate middle school students to complete highschool and enroll in higher education. Each year the Fund awards two$1,000 scholarships to two 8th grade students at each of 25 publicmiddle school in Monterey County. The 8th grade “Student of the Year”award winner is selected through the school’s “Student of the Month”program. The 8th grade “Most Improved Student” award winner is selectedby a committee at the school.
