Black Media | The Obsidian Collection

The Obsidian Collection is a virtual portal providing access to images of historical, artistic and cultural significance to African Americans. Our goal is to preserve Black historical and present day journalism through digital archiving with proper cataloging and storage of print documents, photographs, film and television. Our purpose is to make accessible to the public, the historic and factual accounts of Black life around the world.
