Adaptive Physical Education
Adaptive Physical Education is a community exercise program designed to improve or prevent chronic diseases, disabilities, or health impairments. This program includes adaptive techniques, specialized equipment, and individualized assistance and training. It is a place to get fit, enjoy community, and maintain an independent lifestyle. One of our most significant APE activities are currently offering our General Conditioning group classes, an Open Gym for customized programs, and a variety of specialty classes, including Chair Yoga, Pulmonary Maintenance, and multiple levels of Parkinson's exercise on a year round basis. We also sponsor Active Aging Week annually in October.
