COGWHEELS FOR AUTISM INC

Here at CogWheels for Autism, our mission is to provide support to students who have autism. We started with giving rock tumblers to children who have autism because of our passion for rock tumbling and lapidary work. As a special education teacher, I found that smoothly tumbled rocks we very soothing and quieting for my students. I keep them in my classroom for the students to examine or sort as a therapeutic relaxation technique. I discovered through community outings and connections, that rock tumbling has a profound effect on both the social, and the communications skills, of those who have ASD. Now we have taken our passion for people who have autism to new heights. We will always give rock tumblers to the kids, but our goals are to go much further with ASD assistance.
