ARTsmart! ANNOUNCEMENT of our NEW DIRECTION FOR FUNDING THE VISUAL ARTS PROMGRAMMING IN SANTA FEs PUBLIC SCHOOLS. Through numerous discussions and careful evaluation the ARTsmart Board has concluded that to be the most effective in our public school system we will shift our funding directly to the Santa Fe Public Schools Visual Arts program. SFPS will still maintain a visiting artist program but it will be fully administered through the SFPS system. Funding received from ARTsmart will be utilized to support visiting artists and be used for immediate need in their programming providing more responsive support to the needs of visual arts instruction.
