THE OBJECT OF THE SOUTHWEST INDIANA WALK TO EMMAUS (SIWE) IS TO INSPIRE, CHALLENGE, AND EQUIP CHURCH MEMBERS FOR CHRISTIAN ACTION IN THEIR HOMES, CHURCHES, PLACES OF WORK, AND THE WORLD COMMUNITY THROUGH THE EMMAUS EXPERIENCE. THE MAIN ACTIVITIES OF THE ORGANIZATION ARE WALK TO EMMAUS WEEKENDS FOR ADULTS (4 WOMEN WEEKENDS AND 2 MEN WEEKENDS PER YEAR) AND B.I.C. CHRYSALIS COMMUNITY WEEKENDS FOR YOUTH. CURRENT MEMBERSHIP FOR THE WALK TO EMMAUS HAS GROWN TO OVER 5,000 MEMBERS AND CURRENT MEMBERSHIP FOR B.I.C. CHRYSALIS COMMUNITY IS OVER 500 MEMBERS. ALL PERSONS WHO HAVE COMPLETED A WEEKEND EXPERIENCE BECOME MEMBERS IN THE SOUTHWEST INDIANA WALK TO EMMAUS COMMUNITY.
