The SAR was first started back in 1889 when a small group of men from San Fransisco started a group to honor the men that fought so gallantly to free our nation from the tyranny of Great Britain and King George III. If you have an interest in family history and would like to find out if you are one of the many Americans that can trace their ancestry back to the Revolutionary War let us know and we would be honored to assist you in the process of getting started.
