Overview
Ohio Elite Soccer Academy is a nonprofit organization based in Ohio, established to promote elite-level soccer training for youth players. Founded in 2002, the academy provides professional coaching, state-of-the-art facilities, and competitive environments to its participants, serving both boys and girls across various age groups.
History
The inception of Ohio Elite Soccer Academy can be traced back to a meeting in 2002, where the founders decided to create a youth soccer program aimed at high-level player development. The organization officially held its first tryout shortly after adopting its name and colors: gold, navy, and red. Initial leadership included Tim Lesiak and Doug Bracken as Directors of Coaching, with Doug Conway taking on the role of Director of Operations. Roby Stahl later joined as the Boys' Director of Coaching, bringing significant experience from his previous role as OSYSA Director of Coaching.
In 2006, Ohio Elite Soccer Academy acquired a 30-acre property in West Chester, Ohio, which would become the Ohio Elite Training Center. Following extensive fundraising, the facility opened in 2008, named in honor of the Olberding Family. This site serves as the permanent home for the academy's teams.
