Welcome James Gannaban (@jamesgannaban) (Hong Kong) to YGB Global Ambassadors Team "As a recovering alcoholic and drug addict, I have received so much from my yoga practice. Physical wellness, respite from mental maladies, deeper self-knowing and self-acceptance. I also happen to come from a family of teachers, hence, contributing to a cause that empowers women and children through education in underserved communities resonates deeply with my own experiences. Education is a key factor in breaking the cycle of poverty, leading to social change and enhanced quality of life within communities, positively impacting future generations.” James Gannaban is a marketing director, yoga teacher and content creator based in Hong Kong. He got sober in 2015 after a near death drug overdose that led to a jail stint following medical detoxification. He found yoga in a rehab facility, took his first teacher training in 2018, and began teaching in Pure Yoga soon after. He holds a certificate in Psychology of Addiction & Recovery from Stanford Medicine. #onemillionyogis #UnityinAction #EmpowerThroughYoga #GratitudeInAction YogaForChange #GiveBackThroughYoga# #empowerwomen #educategirls #ygbambassador #yogacommunity (fb)
