Equips foster youth, ages 18 and older, with life skills needed to become self-sufficient, contributing citizens. Creating a safe and stable environment where at-risk youth, who are aging out of foster care or have become homeless, learn the fundamentals of adulthood to empower them to overcome the cycle of dysfunction. A program of the FS Children's Shelter. CES Purpose:The Fort Smith Children's Emergency Shelter serves children ages 6-17 within the state of Arkansas who have been removed from their home by the Department of Human Services due to neglect and/or abuse.CES Mission:To provide shelter and care, in a safe and structured home-like environment for abused and neglected children…and to allow our kids the opportunity TO JUST BE KIDS!CES Vision:To allow kids in crisis the opportunity to just be kids.
