Gladiator Project
The Gladiator Project is a U.S. nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting brain cancer research and helping patients and their families navigate the challenges associated with this serious health condition. Founded in 2021 by Eric and Leslie South, the organization has been driven by Eric's personal experience with a grade IV Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM) brain tumor.
History and Founding
Eric South was diagnosed with GBM in February 2021. Despite the lack of a known cure for GBM, Eric underwent various treatments, including successful surgery and participation in clinical trials at notable institutions such as MD Anderson in Houston and UCLA. His experiences inspired him to establish the Gladiator Project to assist others facing similar challenges. Eric passed away in August 2023, but his legacy lives on through the organization's continued efforts.

The mission of the Gladiator Project is twofold: to support research into finding a cure for brain cancer and to connect patients and their families with the resources they need to cope with the disease. The organization fundraises to support brain cancer research efforts and offers support to patients and families as they seek and undergo treatment.
