The Historic Lansdowne Theater Corporation was created to restore and reopen The Lansdowne. The Lansdowne is located in Lansdowne, PA just west of Philadelphia. The non-profit Historic Lansdowne Theater Corporation was established to acquire, restore and reopen one of the last remaining movie palaces in the Philadelphia region as a financially viable performing arts center to encourage community and economic development in the Borough of Lansdowne and surrounding communities, to promote the performing arts and to provide enhanced educational opportunities for area students in an accessible, state of the art affordable venue serving Delaware, Chester, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties.
