Sunday’s outreach was full of conversation, laughter, music and prayer! Our team served 145 of our neighbors a meal of Chick Fil A nuggets, chips, fruit cups, desserts and more. We are seeing a lot of new faces at one of our stops. Some are relocating from another camp and some are experiencing homelessness for the first time. We had the opportunity to pray with several on Sunday. One of our friends was super excited to share exciting news of taking the first steps into rehab. Please join us in praying for her. At our second stop our friend Ron came to us with two injuries. One from a knife and another from a dog bite. Our volunteer Amie went to the local Dollar Store for supplies and our Director Vickie cleaned his wounds and applied bandages. Please pray he does not get infected. Our volunteers Susan & Barry brought hygiene kits in sling bags that were given to them from a local school project. Thank you to everyone who made the bags and helped get them into our friends’ hands! We have volunteer openings for meal prep and outreach throughout June! Sunday was a good day! Our team served up 158 meals. Thank you to Stacy & her Helping Hands team Genesis Church for providing our meal. The sunshine and warmer weather were a welcomed change.
