Parrots are inching toward extinction in the wild to meet the demand of humans who want to keep them in cages. This despite the fact that every strand of DNA in a #parrot has evolved over millennia to thrive in the wild. This evolution is incompatible with captivity. The International Alliance for the Protections of Parrots envisions a world where humans stop poaching, trafficking, breeding, buying, and caging these creatures. Only then will parrots be safe, wherever they are.
