Verdi Chorus | Home Vincenzo Bellini lived a relatively short life dying at the height of his fame in Paris at the age ofthirtythree. He was greatly admired by the public and his contemporaries for his gift for longlined melody. Even Richard Wagner who rarely had a kind word for another composer heldBellini in high esteem. Counting revisions he only wrote 11 operas.
