The Form-Based Codes Institute is a program of Smart Growth America dedicated to advancing the understanding and use of form-based codes. A program of Smart Growth America committed to enhancing the understanding and adoption of form-based zoning. The Form-Based Codes Institute (FBCI) is a non-profit professional organization dedicated to advancing the understanding and use of form-based codes, as a key tool for community building. FBCI pursues this objective through three main areas of action. We develop standards for form-based codes, we provide professional education, and we create a forum for discussion and the advancement of form-based codes.
