SafeSpace is dedicated to educate and empower young people to advocate for mental health awareness to peers and families in their communities SafeSpace educates and empowers young people to advocate for mental health awareness with their peers, families, and community. By supporting youth to engage openly with their local schools, communities, and peers, we promote mental well-being, reduce stigma, and develop solutions to enhance the lives of all young people. SafeSpace is completely youth-driven. While many programs involve youth, SafeSpace is unique in that Youth Board members assess, develop, and present initiatives to their peers and serve as ambassadors in their schools to help others get the support they need. There is no national program or set guidelines. The young people identify what areas they want to focus on, and then they direct and create programs to address what they see as a crucial need.
