SFUU’s mission is to provide EVERYDAY NECESSITIES to those in need of such items but just isn’t financially feasible. Everyday necessities may have many different meanings but more specifically we home in on reusable home care (kitchenware, bedding/bath necessities, etc.) and personal care items (undergarments and selfcare products). The need for everyday necessities may be referred to as an “invisible crisis”. Although not invisible, these families are the faces that we see in our communities every day and look past their struggle. We want to give those who come to us for help a sense of hope, a place to turn when it seems like all hope is lost, a place to be heard, not judged and to know that we see you. Low-income families have little or no margin for error.
