Honoring Jim by providing scholarships to athletes and financial aid to families affected by cancer THE SIMMONS STRONG FOUNDATION WAS FOUNDED TO HONOR THE LIFE AND LEGACY OF JIM SIMMONS, BY PROVIDING SCHOLARSHIPS TO LOCAL HIGH SCHOOL AND COLLEGE STUDENT-ATHLETES THAT EXEMPLIFY THE VALUES JIM LIVED THROUGHOUT HIS LIFE, AND BY GIVING FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO COMMUNITY MEMBERS EXPERIENCING HARDSHIPS DUE TO CANCER TREATMENT/DIAGNOSIS.
