For today's Trivia Tuesday, I thought we should share a snapshot that details what your donations pay for. (This is from 2023 since the rescue was mostly closed while I fought cancer in 2024.) A couple of things I'd like to point out: 🐢Except for $1.24 in interest income, every single penny we get is from YOU. We get zero dollars from the state or federal government. We serve you and are funded by you. 🐢You won't find the words "salaries" or "personnel costs" anywhere. That's because none of our staff earns a single dime to do this. We do this out of love while also working full-time to pay our bills. To those who have donated today, I can't tell how much we appreciate it. We know times are hard right now. Even Luke and I are having to cut corners to make it paycheck to paycheck. But as you can see, it's expensive to run an animal rescue. So to those who have donated or shared or volunteered or even just prayed... THANK YOU. We continue to hope that things will turn around so that we can continue helping these animals we love so much.
