The purpose of the Veteran Art Institute is to provide a unique, free, online community for Veterans, who are artists, to publicly promote, exhibit and sell their art. We give encouragement, inspiration and support to all Veteran artists while calling the publics attention to their stories. These powerful stories demonstrate the transformative and healing power of art. Plus, their art and stories connect them to us, the public, who have not experienced armed services. Veterans can manage their own "pages"; meaning they have the unique autonomy to maintain current art and themes. Each veteran has a story to be told - no two are the same. Art can express passion or pain, a story without the words. Research shows that Art as therapy can be very effective for PTSD related issues.
