ACLU of Southern California

American Civil Liberties Union of Southern California, a 501(c)(4) defending the rights guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution for all A nonprofit, nonpartisan, legal and advocacy 501(c)(4) organization that defends rights for all. The ACLU Foundation of Southern California's (ACLU SoCal) mission is to ensure that all persons are afforded the equality, liberty, and justice guaranteed to them in the Constitution and Bill of Rights. Through our integrated approach of community education, advocacy, and litigation, we challenge unconstitutional and unjust policies and practices. We focus our resources on those whose rights are consistently denied or compromised including people of color, women, immigrants, the poor, members of minority religions, people with disabilities, LGBTQ people, unhoused people, incarcerated people, and other marginalized groups. With offices in Los Angeles, Orange County the Inland Empire, and Kern County, ACLU SoCal has been serving Southern California since 1923.
